The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ovidiu Bujorean, Senior Technical Director of Partnerships and Investments for ACDI/VOCA and its affiliate AV-Ventures, as the newest member of the CCA’s Board of Directors, Class of 2026. This strategic appointment, effective January 1, 2024, marks a significant milestone in the CCA’s ongoing efforts to enhance economic and business relations between the United States and the African continent.
Bujorean brings a wealth of investment and entrepreneurial expertise, subject matter depth and breadth, and a vast network of high-level executives and government relationships in Africa and the U.S. to the CCA Board. He recently designed and launched the Roots to Foods podcast, which aims to provide African entrepreneurs with practical support and insights into the most relevant scalable technologies. Bujorean is a former venture capitalist and designer of the Global Innovation through Science and Technology(GIST)Network, the flagship program of the U.S. Department of State, active in135 countries. He holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
