Washington, D.C. —The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is proud to announce the appointmentof Mr. Ovidiu Bujorean, Senior Technical Director at ACDI/VOCA, to the MCCAdvisory Council for the 2024-2026 term. Mr. Bujorean’s appointment is inrecognition of his distinguished expertise and leadership in internationaldevelopment, private sector engagement, and sustainable economic growth.
As a member of the MCCAdvisory Council, Mr. Bujorean will serve in a personal capacity, offering hisinsights and sharing best practices drawn from his extensive experience in thefield of global development. His term will run until September 26, 2026. Inthis advisory role, Mr. Bujorean will contribute valuable perspectives, withhis vast expertise in areas such as private sector development,entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment will help MCC work to create lasting change in some ofthe world’s most vulnerable regions and further its mission of reducing globalpoverty through innovative and impactful economic growth initiatives
Mr. Bujorean has held keyleadership roles throughout his career, currently serving as Senior TechnicalDirector at ACDI/VOCA, a leading development organization focused on empoweringdisadvantaged communities around the world. His work has spanned sectorsincluding agriculture, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion, making him ahighly respected thought leader in the international development community.
The MCC Advisory Council iscomposed of experts from various industries who provide independent guidanceand recommendations to MCC’s leadership. Council members are selected based ontheir individual qualifications and professional contributions, and they do notrepresent their organizations in this capacity. Over the course of theirtwo-year term, Advisory Council members will meet regularly to discuss pressingissues in international development and provide actionable advice to enhanceMCC’s strategic direction.
